Rules

  1. Don't be a dick. Ops have the right to determine dickishness.
  2. Be respectful to others and treat them as you would like to be treated:
    1. No sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, or discrimination of any kind. This includes usernames.
    2. No trolling, harassment, personal attacks, or spreading rumors.
    3. No posting (“doxxing”) of personally identifiable information of others (real names, profile links, pictures, etc) without permission. This includes from Google Hangouts or other places where such information may be exposed.
  3. No posting of any MNFH content in any other channels. If we see any user posting anything in another channel, there will be an immediate ban.
  4. NSFW content must be marked. At-length discussion of NSFW material may be moved to PM or #mnfh_nsfw at an OP's discretion.
  5. No solicitation of sex, cybersex, or dating.
  6. No sending unsolicited personal messages (PMs) to channel users (Please introduce yourself first in the main channel, and engage in the conversation before starting PMs.)
  7. Please do not treat the chat as a professional support channel.  If you are feeling depressed or suicidal, please see http://www.suicide.org/international-suicide-hotlines.html to contact a trained support person. We are not qualified to provide that level of support.
  8. No spamming/flooding (including making the bots spam/flood)
  9. Bots must be approved by ops to be in the channel. gonzobot, CookieBot, and SubWatch are the only bots approved.

If you have questions, or concerns, please contact the ops.

Please remember, ops are people too. We as operators (“ops”) will do our best to be fair, but we’re only human. We try to issue warnings (kicks or temporary bans) first before permanent banning. The exceptions are obvious spamming or user safety concerns. In making decisions we will go by official channel logs and testimony from multiple users.
